Carlo Fontana è nato a Napoli nel 1951; vive e lavora a Casier (TV).
Compiuti gli Studi all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli, Carlo Fontana dipinge forme ed oggetti quotidiani, forme ed archetipi del mondo mediterraneo, illuminati da una luce abbagliante, scomposta nei colori dell'iride attraverso una struttura sfaccettata, in una pittura pastosa, luminosa e densa, ottenuta facendo uso di pigmenti sciolti nell'olio di lino cotto.


Carlo Fontana was born in Naples in 1951, lives and works in Casier (TV).
After completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, Carlo Fontana painted shapes and everyday objects, forms and archetypes of the Mediterranean world, lit by a dazzling light, broken down into the colors of the iris through a multi-faceted structure, in a pasty paint, bright and dense, obtained using pigments dissolved in linseed oil cooked.
